World: characters, places and look
Check the cast, places and objects the AI suggests, and set the look before any scene is drawn.
A new video opens on World. The AI reads your idea and suggests the characters, places and objects it needs, the colours and mood, a narrator and music. Its suggestions are marked ✦ AI pick.
- Check the Visual style. Click Change ▾ to pick another, or Or match my own reference image to upload a picture whose look you want.
- Edit Colours & mood if you like.
- For each character, check the name and Look (age, hair, clothing, features) and click Save. Then Create AI portrait, or Use my photo.
- For each object or place, click Draw image, or Use my photo. With a photo you choose Draw it in the film's look (recommended) or Use it as it is.
- Add anything missing with + Add character or + Add object or place.
These pictures are the references the AI uses for every scene, so faces and places stay the same.
Look after your pictures
- ⓘ What the AI draws explains what the AI makes from your idea and what each picture costs. Suggest characters has it propose more.
- ↻ Redraw draws a picture again. Write what should change, and attach a photo to draw from (from your files or My library). Tick Use my photo as it is to use the photo itself.
- Actions ▾ under a picture: Download it, Remove image, Remove view, or Restore last version to bring back the picture from before the last edit.
- Each picture shows how many scenes use it (Used by 1 scene, or Not used). Pictures drawn in an older look or description are marked as outdated.
- Changed your idea? ↻ Refresh characters, objects & places suggests them again: objects and places are replaced, and new characters are added.
Movie mode: views, layout and 3D
In Movie mode, characters also get a face close-up and a three-quarter view, and places get views from other camera positions.
- Click + under a place’s pictures to Add a view: name it and describe where the camera stands and what it sees, or upload a photo of the view. The main picture is the Base for all views.
- Layout says where the place’s fixed things stand and which way they face, and every scene follows it. Write with AI (or Rewrite with AI) drafts it for you.
- Built from lists up to 8 other World pictures that this one is drawn with.
- For an object, Actions ▾ › Make 3D views draws it from every side, so it looks right from any camera angle. Redraw all sides draws them again.
Each picture costs about 15 credits. If you change the look later, a banner offers to redraw the older pictures in one go.
Versions of a character
When a character appears at another age or in another costume (a childhood flashback, a wedding outfit), add a version. Its portrait is drawn from the character's own, so it's clearly the same person. If your idea already describes this, the AI adds the versions for you.
- On the character's card, click + Add version.
- In the card that opens below, type what's different, such as “8 years old”. It's saved as “Maya (8 years old)”.
- The look starts with the character's. Change what's different at this stage, then click Save. Cancel closes the card without saving.
- Click Create AI portrait on the version. The main character needs a picture first.
A character can have up to 4 versions. Scenes written after you add a version use it where the story calls for it. For scenes already written, add the version in Scene details under Uses, then redraw the scene.
