Narration and captions
Pick a narrator, record the lines and style the captions.
Narration
- In a scene's Narration sound section, click Voice settings.
- Pick a Narrator. Filter by voice, age and accent, and press ▶ to hear a sample.
- Add Pronunciations for names or words the voice gets wrong, or Suggest from my script.
- Choose Apply voice to all scenes and click Apply.
- Click Record N lines in the top bar.
Edit a scene's line in Captions › Text, then Re-record this line. Untick Narration (voiceover) to make a scene text-only: its line shows on screen instead.
Captions
In Captions › Settings, turn Show captions on or off and choose the font, colour, size, position and how words enter and leave. Captions settings apply to the whole film.
- Re-record narration (top of 3 Scenes) records every line again in the selected voice.
- A voice chosen for this scene only records just that line; the scene shows Own voice.
- Change the narration language and the app offers to Translate N lines, or Keep the text.
- Pronunciations apply to the whole film, and captions keep the real spelling. Add a word with how to say it (▶ plays it), or take the AI’s suggestions with Add all.
