Scene pictures

Draw every scene, then fix any picture with a redraw, an edit or your own image.

  1. In 3 Scenes, click Generate N images.
  2. Choose Only scenes without an image or All scenes. Leave Draw characters and objects first ticked so every scene uses the same faces and places.
  3. Add any Extra direction (optional), check the credit estimate and click Generate.

Fix a picture

Under a picture, click Regenerate image to open the Redraw window.

Redraw › Simple · Click to enlarge
The Redraw window, Simple tab, with a note typed in
  • Simple: type what should change ("make it night", "remove the second cup") and click Redraw. A note about one thing changes only that; an empty note draws the whole picture again. Compare Before/After, then Keep and back to editing or Discard.
  • Advanced: mark what to change with Auto-identify objects (then click one) or Tag manually (a rectangle, circle or polygon), then choose Remove, Change, Move or Turn. Only those spots change; everything else stays exactly as it is. Up to 6 changes at a time: Apply, compare Before/After, then Done or Discard.

  • Move: drag the object where it should go. The corner resizes it, the round handle tilts it, and Flip mirrors it.
  • Turn: spin or tip it with the rings, or pick Faces camera, ¾ left, Side-on and so on. A quick turn redraws it at that angle; Show in 3D builds the object once, then turns it exactly.
  • A Line or Arrow is a note: say what it points at, to explain another change.
  • Move around drags the view; − and + zoom.

In Movie mode, Simple also lets you pick the Camera: which view of the place the scene is drawn from (the AI’s pick is marked). Show all N views lists them all. Need another angle? Add a view of the place in 2 World.

Use your own picture or clip

  • Click Use my own ▾: Upload a picture, Upload a video clip or Pick from My library. It’s used exactly as it is; the AI never redraws it.
  • Your picture gets a camera move (choose it in 4 Animate) and is never AI-animated.
  • Your clip plays as it is: a clip longer than the scene is trimmed, a shorter one holds its last frame, and its own sound isn’t used. Replace clip swaps it; Remove clip keeps its first frame as the scene’s picture.
  • Use AI picture goes back to the AI’s picture; yours stays in Version history. Animate all skips scenes with your own picture or clip.

Version history keeps every version of the picture: click Use this to go back to one, or Delete this to remove one you don’t need.

Scene details shows On screen image details (what the picture shows: edit it, then redraw) and the references the scene Uses, up to 8: characters, places, a view, the previous scene. + Add and + Previous scene add one; Automatic goes back to the ones named in the scene’s text.
