Sound effects and the mix
Add sound effects from the library, your own files or the AI, and arrange them on the timeline.
Open 5 Sound. Each scene’s timeline has three lanes: Narration (drag it to move when it starts), Background music and Sound effects. ▶ Play scene with sound previews the mix; the final balance is set when you create the video.
Add sound effects
Click ⚙ Settings on the Sound effects lane. Choose Let the AI sound designer add sounds automatically (Movie mode: it plans the scene’s sounds when you create the video), or Add sounds manually:
- Library: search (rain, footsteps, door…) or pick a category, press ▶ to listen and click + Add. Sounds marked loops can run for the whole scene.
- Create my own: Upload a sound (MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG or WebM, up to 30 seconds and 10 MB, that you made or may use), or Record a sound while the scene plays. Your sounds are Saved for your other projects too.
- Use AI to create (Movie mode): describe a sound and the AI makes it.
Arrange the sounds
- New sounds go in at the playhead. Drag a sound on the timeline to move it, or drag its edge to trim it.
- Click a sound for its details: its Start and Length, Whole scene, and its Level. You can also Replace with my own, change what an AI sound is and redo it, or remove it from the scene.
- The % on the effects lane sets the volume of all the effects.
Your changes are mixed in when you create the video.
