Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how DeltaPrompt AI (“we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use CinemaScape AI(the “Service”), an AI-assisted creative tool for writing, visualizing, and planning film and screen content.
We've written this in plain language. Where local law (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) gives you specific rights, those rights apply in addition to what we describe here.
1. Information we collect
1.1 Account information
- Email address, display name, and password (hashed, not visible to us).
- Authentication metadata managed by our auth provider, Supabase.
1.2 Profile preferences
- Preferred interface language.
- Default AI provider selection (Claude or OpenAI).
- Theme preference (stored locally in your browser).
1.3 Content you create or upload
- Projects, scenes, screenplay text, scene summaries, loglines, and any other text you enter.
- Characters and locations you add to your reference library, including any reference images you upload.
- Storyboard panels and shot lists generated for your scenes (including the prompts used).
- Connections between scenes (branching / non-linear story structure).
You retain ownership of the content you create. See our Terms for the license you grant us to operate the Service.
1.4 AI usage data
- Which AI actions you triggered, when, the provider used, token / image counts, and the resulting cost.
- We log these to enforce per-account usage caps, detect abuse, and provide you with cost transparency.
1.5 Technical information
- Authentication session cookies (essential — required for the Service to function).
- Locale cookie (records your language preference for faster page loads).
- When error tracking or analytics are enabled, anonymized device, browser, and IP information may be processed to improve reliability.
2. How we use information
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
- Save and display the content you create.
- Send your content to AI providers (see Section 3) so they can produce the suggestions, expansions, storyboards, and shot lists you request.
- Enforce usage caps, prevent fraud and abuse.
- Communicate with you about your account or important changes.
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your content to train our own AI models.
3. Third parties who process your data
The Service is built on third-party infrastructure. Your data is shared with these providers only as needed to deliver the Service:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage.
- Vercel — application hosting and content delivery.
- Anthropic (Claude API)— text generation when you select Claude as the provider. Per Anthropic's API terms, inputs and outputs are not used to train models by default.
- OpenAI— image generation, and text generation when you select OpenAI as the provider. Per OpenAI's API terms, API content is not used to train models by default.
- Sentry / PostHog (when enabled) — error tracking and product analytics.
These providers may process data in regions different from where you are located, including the United States, the European Union, and India. By using the Service, you consent to such transfers, subject to applicable safeguards under data protection law.
4. AI-specific data flow
When you trigger an AI action (Expand scene, Suggest next, Generate logline, Generate storyboard, etc.), the following is sent to the selected AI provider:
- The screenplay text and metadata relevant to that action (project title, genre, tone, characters, prior scenes, etc.).
- Reference images you have uploaded, when relevant to the action.
We do not control how the AI provider processes or temporarily retains this content beyond what their terms commit to. Please review the privacy and API terms of Anthropic and OpenAI.
Treat AI features as you would any cloud service: do not paste secrets, personal data of third parties, or confidential material owned by others into your scenes.
5. Public submissions (gallery)
If you mark a project as “Public” or submit it to the public gallery, the project content you have chosen to publish becomes visible to other users of the Service. Do not mark anything public that you intend to keep private.
6. Reference images you upload
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload any reference image. Do not upload photos of identifiable people without their consent. Do not upload copyrighted images you do not own or have a license for. See our Terms.
7. Data retention
- Account and content data: retained while your account is active.
- After account deletion: content is removed within 30 days; backups are rotated within 90 days.
- AI usage logs (for billing and abuse prevention): retained up to 12 months.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention).
- Export your data in a portable format.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (for EU/UK residents).
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@deltaprompt.ai.
9. Cookies and local storage
The Service uses:
- Session cookies set by Supabase for authentication (essential — required to use the Service).
- A locale cookie to remember your preferred language.
- Browser local storage to remember your theme (light / dark) preference.
We do not currently use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
10. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have, please contact us and we will delete it.
11. Security
We use industry-standard measures including TLS encryption in transit, encryption at rest at the database and storage layer (via Supabase), row-level security policies, and least-privilege service credentials. No system is completely secure; we encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to keep your account credentials confidential.
12. International transfers
Your data may be processed in jurisdictions other than your own, including the United States, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and India. Where required by law, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses for cross-border transfers.
13. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced via the Service or by email. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
